1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using Alderson ("the Platform"), you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the Platform. Clicking "I Agree" constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Platform's sole owner and developer, Alper Ozturk ("Owner").

2. PLATFORM DESCRIPTION & BETA STATUS

Alderson is an AI-powered cybersecurity diagnostic platform in active development, provided for demonstration, evaluation, and limited testing purposes only. The Platform is provided AS-IS in a pre-release state. Outputs are informational only and do not constitute professional cybersecurity advice or a guarantee of security posture.

By continuing, you also acknowledge:

Alderson is an AI-powered diagnostic assistant, not a certified security assessor. Findings should be validated by a qualified professional before being treated as formal assessments.
Only use this tool to assess systems and networks you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning of third-party systems may be illegal.
Conversations may be logged and reviewed to improve response quality. Do not enter passwords, personal credentials, or sensitive client data in the chat.
Alderson is a beta product. Responses may contain errors.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY -- OWNERSHIP & RESTRICTIONS

3.1 Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform -- including but not limited to its software architecture, source code, frontend interface design, backend logic, API integration methodology, multi-source threat intelligence aggregation approach, AI diagnostic framework, cybersecurity awareness assessment system, certificate generation mechanism, scoring methodology, and any documentation -- are the exclusive proprietary property of Alper Ozturk. These assets are protected under applicable copyright, trade secret, and intellectual property laws.

Proprietary rights claimed include both the implemented system and the underlying methodology and approach, regardless of whether a formal patent application has been filed.

3.2 Restrictions on Use

By agreeing to these Terms, User expressly agrees not to:

Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any portion of the Platform or its outputs for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the Owner
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, architecture, or underlying methodology of the Platform
Use the Platform as a reference, blueprint, or basis -- directly or indirectly -- for developing, designing, filing for patent protection on, or commercializing any substantially similar product, service, or system
Reproduce, imitate, or substantially replicate the Platform's feature set, workflow, user interface design, or integration approach in any competing product or internal tool
Incorporate insights gained from evaluation of this Platform into any intellectual property filing without the Owner's prior written consent
Sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise commercially exploit the Platform or access to it

3.3 Evaluation and Business Demonstrations

If accessing the Platform in a professional or business evaluation capacity, you acknowledge that access is granted solely for evaluation, all disclosed information is confidential and proprietary, and your organization and its affiliates are bound by the restrictions in Section 3.2 for three (3) years from the date of access.

4. PERMITTED USE

Subject to these Terms, the Owner grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Platform solely for personal cybersecurity education, demonstration and evaluation, non-commercial security research, and internal security assessment of systems you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning of third-party systems may violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) and equivalent laws. The Owner accepts no liability for misuse of scanning features.

5. PRIVACY & DATA

Information you submit is processed to generate diagnostic outputs. The Owner does not sell user data. Passwords submitted for breach checking are never transmitted in full -- only a partial hash prefix is sent externally. Assessment certificates are logged server-side by certificate number, score, and timestamp only.

6. DISCLAIMERS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. Platform outputs are AI-generated and may contain errors.

7. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Owner from claims arising from your violation of these Terms, unauthorized use of the Platform, or any claim that your use caused damage to a third party.

8. ENFORCEMENT & REMEDIES

Any breach of Section 3 would cause irreparable harm to the Owner, who shall be entitled to seek equitable relief including injunction, in addition to all other remedies available at law or in equity.

9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
